Associa Desert Resort Management has managed the 38-unit planned-unit development in Rancho Mirage, California since July 2020. The community features resort-style privileges and services such as a lap pool, spa, gym, and hiking trails.
A long list of action items needed to be addressed as the community transitioned to Associa Desert Resort Management. The items that had an urgent status included:
1. Establishing design guidelines for new construction
2. Creating new election rules for the upcoming annual meeting
3. Seeking bids for all components of a new sewer pump station
All items had to be addressed within a five-month window.
Associa Desert Resort Management’s team quickly assigned a manager to work with the community’s onboarding team and board to oversee the transition process and address the urgent action items. New design guidelines were immediately outlined, approved by the board, and sent to owners. Community election rules were updated to bring the association into compliance with the changes in the California Civil Code, and the upcoming annual meeting was legally held on time. Additionally, an architectural committee for new builds was formed to review sewer pump bids. The pumps have been installed along with a new electric panel and a refurbished wall surrounding them. Overall, thanks to Associa Desert Resort Management’s quick work, all action items were completed by the end of the calendar year, meeting the five-month window time constraint and moving the Rancho Mirage community in the right direction
